Jean Paul is a better choice by far. The parts are made in China in the same factory as many major brand horns, but they are assembled and set up in Doral, Florida. You can google their headquarters, get the phone number, call them up, and speak to a human being in less than 1 minute. I know because I actually did this. I was assured that all parts are kept in stock and readily available, though I don't see needing any, that they have repair facilities all over the country, or you can send back to them for repair should you need to. They have a one year warranty, and seem to be willing to go above and beyond to build their reputation as they are seeking to get into the student band rental market. You can order direct from the Doral headquarters cheaper than Amazon, and if you type in Jeanpaul15 as a coupon code at checkout you will save another $20. I don't know if this horn copies the Selmer AS-400 which costs $2300, but if I had to guess, I would say it is the same horn with different color keys. The quality and sound is truly professional. It you go to their website you will see they make an array of wind instruments, and are a dedicated musical instrument company, not a general store like you find on Amazon or eaby.
